President Mr.Bryan and Director of Kien Giang Mr.Seven of G-Stars Automobile LLC, which operates an authorized Mitsubishi dealership in Vietnam, came to Japan and visited GLION headquarter on 4th November.
“Seven Stars LLC”, a local company in Vietnam, and a subsidiary of GLION Group “Liger Holding International” established a joint venture company “G-Stars Automobile LLC” in 2018. This is the first time a Japanese company has opened a Mitsubishi dealership in the Vietnamese market, and now, four years after its launch, the company has expanded its network to three dealerships in Can Tho, Ca Mau, and Kien Giang provinces.

We interviewed President Mr.Bryan and Director of Kien Giang Mr.Seven about the management of the company, so please kndly read on to the end of this interview.

会社設立から4年間を振り返って、お話をお聞かせください。 What are you feeling now when you look back on the past four years since the establishment of G-stars?
When we just established our company, we did not envision a future as big as the one we have today. We set a goal of selling 30 to 40 cars a month and thought it would be good if we grew slowly. However, we found ourselves selling 100 to 150 cars a month, and we gradually expanded to three locations.
The first, “Things we cannot control” was the fact that Mitsubishi Motors started production of X-PANDER, an Asia-specific model, right at the start of the business, and it was a hit. Its outstanding features, including optimal utility, outstanding fuel economy, and affordability, rapidly gained popularity, and sales have been strong year after year. We believe this is largely due to the fact that those features match Vietnamese user’s preference and gain sales volume from the growing demand.
The second factor,”Actions we have taken” is the human factor.G-Stars’ strength is its young staff. We have the ability to take actions and to quickly respond and put new information on our own in a rapidly changing market. We have also analyzed based on figures,established a cooperative system and trust with the distributor. We believe that our “speedy response”,”creativity” and “communication skills” differentiate us from our competitors and are the biggest factors in our ability to maintain and expand our business.
Another major factor was that we have been able to work together with GLION Group to procure inventory and obtain financial support. We are very grateful for that.
お客様への対応や、優秀なスタッフを育成するために心がけていることはありますか? What do you keep in mind when dealing with customers and training excellent staff?
What is important to us as the company is that our customers have choices.
We believe that our staff’s most important role is to help the customer make the best choice. We want to be a company where customers can make purchases in a stress-free and pleasant environment, and this reputation has spread, leading to an increase in customer traffic. If customers are satisfied, they will “always” come back. We do not focus only on short-term profits, but also on long-term relationships with our customers.
As for our employees, we value the motivation of each staff member from the bottom of their hearts.
We place more emphasis on the incentive schemes and set incentives higher at “G-Stars” than at other dealers so that staff members are motivated to “The harder they work here,the more they earn”. We also sometimes go out for dinner and drinks to build relationships with our staff. We believe that creating a comfortable working environment for our staff is an important role for the company.
In the future, we plan to open new sales and service outlets in Soc Trang Province in 2023, Bac Lieu Province in 2024, and Hau Giang Province in 2025.
We were inspired when I saw Mitsubishi Motors’ concept car in Tokyo this time, and have a clear picture of the future. We believe that new car sales in Vietnam will continue to grow and will become even larger after 2025.
We must, of course, reorganize our strategies and increase the speed of growth to keep pace with the market growth, but we will always have stronger-will of consideration for our staff and what value customers, which we have valued since the establishment of our company.
